Job Description
The Program Funding Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of grant proposal development, submission, and compliance for the Galveston County Health District. This role is essential in securing funding for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for all existing grant-funded initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in grant writing and securing funding, with experience working with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) or similar organizations highly desirable.

About the Role
This position requires a detail-oriented and strategic individual to collaborate with program staff, finance, and executive leadership to draft proposals, budgets, letters of intent (LOIs), and grant application narratives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public health, business administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant management or a related field. Experience working with FQHCs or similar organizations is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of grant proposal development, submission, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with program staff, finance, and executive leadership to draft proposals, budgets, letters of intent (LOIs), and grant application narratives.
  • Conduct ongoing training for staff on grant processes and requirements, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive grants files, including correspondence, agreements, and all related documentation, ensuring easy access and organization.
  • Monitor grant compliance and reporting requirements, preparing progress reports and financial statements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Track deadlines and deliverables, ensuring timely submission of all required documents.
  • Analyze budget patterns and develop cost control measures for various grants.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public health, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in grant management or a related field, with a proven track record in grant writing and securing funding.
  • Experience working with FQHCs or similar organizations highly desirable.

Compensation:
$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
