Job Overview: Administrative Support Specialist
About the Role:
The Houston Independent School District is seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join their team. This role will provide critical support to the Principal and contribute to the overall success of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage payroll, time cards, substitute cards, overtime, extended leave time forms, vacation leave, absence records, and paycheck distribution for the elementary school campus administrative staff.Maintain accurate records and documents related to school budgets, activity funds, ledger, inventory supplies, repairs, and budget reconciliations.Develop and maintain a computer database with elementary school staff and personnel personal data, calendar of appointments, and school/district events.Assist with opening and closing school preparations, arrange for associate teachers, and provide assistance to students, parents, teachers, and visitors.Maintain confidentiality regarding staff and school-related issues, communicate with building administrators and staff per principal directive, and coordinate office operations.Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED1-3 years of work experienceMicrosoft Office skillsKnowledge of accounting procedures, district policies, and school lawsEstimated Salary:$40,368 - $64,322
