Airfield Operations Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
The Operations Specialist will perform regular, daily, and ongoing inspections of airfield and facility conditions to identify any unsafe or non-compliant situations, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations including PAR Parts 77 and 139, TSR Part 1542, and the Airport Certification Manual.
Oversee the distribution of Airport ID Media and keys to authorized personnel in accordance with TSR 1542. Provide training, assessment, and supervision for all airport staff operating in both movement and non-movement zones of the airfield.
Assist the Airport Public Safety Department during emergencies and security incidents. The Specialist will serve as a liaison between Public Safety and airport personnel, documenting incidents, enforcing necessary penalties, and facilitating the restoration of normal operations.
Manage the utilization of airport facilities by airlines, cargo carriers, military, and other stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of the public, tenants, and staff.
Coordinate and supervise all airport construction activities to maintain a safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities include issuing Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) and managing irregular operations on both Airside and Landside.
Implement airport programs such as the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan and the Snow and Ice Control Plan to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid driver's license and maintain appropriate driving privileges.
Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
Proven ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to positively influence and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Airport or Aviation/Aerospace Management, Aviation/Aerospace Science, Business or Public Administration, or a closely related field.
Relevant direct experience or internship in a detailed aviation role is preferred. Previous experience with a Fixed Base Operator (FBO), airline, air cargo carrier, or airfield maintenance is advantageous.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Work is conducted in both office and outdoor settings, with exposure to noise, chemicals, and other contaminants, as well as moving mechanical hazards and varying temperature and weather conditions.
Must possess adequate visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses; sufficient auditory ability, with or without assistive devices; able to tolerate noise levels up to 120 decibels; capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
