We are currently seeking a Geospatial Analytics Specialist to spearhead data manipulation, processing, and analytical efforts for our projects. This role is essential in enhancing our capacity to integrate geospatial data into strategic decision-making processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts to tackle significant development challenges and effectively communicate insights and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize data science methodologies to facilitate international decision-making by acquiring, processing, managing, analyzing, archiving, and communicating data from diverse sources.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of experts to enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Design and produce data visualization outputs, including maps, to support various stages of program development and evaluation.
  • Communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences through presentations and written reports.
  • Provide training and capacity-building initiatives for non-technical stakeholders on data access, analysis, and visualization techniques.
  • Independently manage multiple analytical projects within a dynamic and time-sensitive environment.
  • Stay informed about advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) as they pertain to geospatial technology in international development.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 4 years with a Master's degree in relevant fields such as Statistics, Geography, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Economics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse cultural contexts.
  • Proficient in data collection, cleaning, manipulation, and analysis using statistical software or programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Stata, SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Experience with advanced regression and non-linear data analysis techniques.
  • Ability to write clear, organized, and well-documented code for reproducible analytical processes.
  • Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for creating impactful visual outputs.
  • Prior experience in leading projects from conception through to delivery.
