Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician at the Hilton Garden Inn Warwick is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, service, and repair of equipment as assigned. This role requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the preventative maintenance program to ensure the hotel's equipment is in good working condition.
  • Perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel facilities.
  • Effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and supervisors to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to discuss scope of work, products, and materials used in repair activities.
  • Monitor tools, supplies, and inventories of the maintenance department, placing orders with approved vendors as needed.
  • Maintain working spaces in a safe and clean condition, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate directly with front desk for guest service request issues, housekeeping for work orders, and General Manager for orders and capital expenditure projects.
  • Perform other tasks and jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
  • Basic maintenance skills are required, including proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
  • Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, Company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
  • Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of work-related experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a hotel, apartment, or related field is preferred.
