About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Crisis Support Specialist to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center in Knox County, Tennessee. As a Crisis Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support and transport for clients in crisis services.

Job Summary
  • Serve as a clinical member of the EmPATH program, providing crisis intervention and support to clients.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and community partners, ensuring access to identified resources.
  • Complete documentation of client care in compliance with licensure and funder standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide transportation services according to established protocol, ensuring timely and safe transport of clients.
  • Offer supportive listening and social interaction when on transport with clients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client care, including transportation logs and reports.
  • Participate as an active member of the crisis team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure effective crisis response.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • One-year practical experience working with individuals with mental illness is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field, such as counseling, psychology, or social work, is required.
  • Valid driver's license with F endorsement and reliable vehicle required.

Salary: $16.94 per hour based on relevant experience and education. The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $35,000.
