Project Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our team at Abstrakt Marketing Group. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction accounting principles and be able to work independently under limited supervision.
Responsibilities- Process all A/P invoices for both companies
- Generate and submit all A/R invoicing, including AIA's, to clients with support from PMs
- Release vendor payments and collect necessary lien waivers to expedite client payment
- Save all documents as required
- Electronically save all preliminary lien requests received
- Request, receive, and save copies of vendor Certificate of Insurance electronically
- Generate job cost reports and regularly communicate performance to interested parties, including the project manager
- Reconcile credit cards monthly (currently Bank of America, WEX Fuel, and Home Depot) and import activity into software
- Function as the primary contact for expense report corrections and submission
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and secure files for the company
- Attend construction project rollover meetings focusing on accounting responsibilities
- Verify construction project data entry into accounting system (Foundation)
- Submit for Butler iConnect reimbursements
- 3-5 years in accounting for a construction company
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably with an accounting major
- Requires mathematical and analytical skills to develop and interpret financial reports
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas
- Exceptional computer skills with an understanding of current technology: Foundation accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate Level), and AutoDesk
