Job Title: Vice President, Business Development

Burford Capital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Business Development to join our team. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with finance professionals and CFOs at corporations within our target markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive qualified litigation finance and other legal finance opportunity creation
  • Outreach to CFOs, finance professionals, in-house legal personnel and other C-level executives at corporations to develop relationships and drive business origination
  • Work collaboratively with the business development team, underwriting team and other teams to identify and build client relationships and originate legal finance opportunities
  • Represent Burford at marketing events, third party conferences and networking events
  • Record and log all business development activity in Burford's CRM system

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or JD strongly desired
  • 10+ years of combined experience in selling products and/or services into the CFO suite of public and private companies, establishing a deep and wide network in the CFO community
  • Understanding and experience of marketing and business development objectives and techniques
  • Working knowledge of
