Position Summary:

The Automotive Finance Manager is responsible for managing all financial activities related to customer transactions. This role involves assisting customers in securing financing, preparing necessary documentation, and promoting extended service contracts and protection products. The manager ensures that all transactions comply with legal standards and dealership policies while maintaining efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates vehicle financing options for customers, providing comprehensive explanations of aftermarket products and warranties, as well as dealership service protocols.
  • Collaborates with customers to secure financing through various lenders, adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepares and submits all required documentation for vehicle purchases in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adheres to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Builds and nurtures relationships with lending institutions to secure favorable financing terms and interest rates.
  • Works closely with the Sales department to ensure all sales are referred to the Finance and Insurance (F&I) department, providing the Sales team with necessary information on financing options.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to support dealership operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Professional demeanor and reliability.
  • Exceptional communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities, particularly under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with business applications and accounting software, such as CDK.
  • Commitment to delivering industry-leading customer service.
