About the Role

This part-time position involves working a 2-week rotation with rotating holidays and weekends. You'll be responsible for greeting visitors and patients, communicating with them via phone or video conferencing, and handling confidential information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet visitors and patients in person
  • Communicate with patients via phone or video conferencing
  • Handle confidential information with discretion
  • Enter and update patient demographic and financial information
  • Obtain and verify patient applications and forms
  • Collect patient liabilities and balance the cash box daily
  • Work with partnering departments to ensure patient needs are met
  • Provide wayfinding instructions and hospital information as requested
  • Coordinate patient admission needs and bed assignments

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of customer service experience in an office setting
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work a 2-week rotation with rotating holidays and weekends
  • Ability to work rotating holidays
  • Must be 18 years or older
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems
  • Experience in a medical office or hospital admitting/registration office
