Role Overview

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment meets the highest standards of quality and performance. This position requires a commitment to excellence and a focus on customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up new machinery accurately according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Conducting setup procedures on various equipment brands, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Documenting any issues encountered during the setup process in a clear and concise manner.
  • Sharpening and adjusting bed knives, reels, and blades to meet customer specifications.
  • Utilizing computer systems for parts identification and maintaining effective communication within the company.
  • Assembling new equipment accessories based on customer requirements.
  • Ensuring all equipment undergoes thorough inspection by our internal Quality Control team.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
  • Experience in mechanical repair and maintenance; turf experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • The ability to interpret manuals and schematics for electrical and hydraulic systems, along with a basic understanding of diesel and gasoline engines.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with vocational training in the commercial turf industry being a plus.
  • Participation in relevant training courses and seminars is desirable.
