As a Senior Technology Strategist, you will act as a client-focused intermediary among sales, pre-sales engineering, and customer stakeholders. This role necessitates a profound comprehension of how technology empowers organizations to formulate strategies and achieve their business goals. The Senior Technology Strategist will engage throughout the entire sales process, leading discussions on critical business and technological challenges, evaluating client requirements, and pinpointing the ePlus targeted products and service offerings that align with those needs. You will spearhead a cross-functional team of technology experts in shaping clients' business and technical visions and strategies.

YOUR IMPACT

The key functions of this position include:

  • Establishing a comprehensive architecture vision, strategy, and go-to-market plans utilizing ePlus services and OEM solutions.
  • Employing technical vision and strategy plans to create service and product offerings that deliver high-value solutions.
  • Assisting in the design and architecture of solutions tailored to client specifications. Facilitate design architecture and conduct peer reviews with clients to ensure thorough documentation.
  • Developing vertical and horizontal client relationships while introducing technical stakeholders to emerging technologies.
  • Providing thought leadership to ePlus Sales, Engineering, and Strategy teams by sharing insights and trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Promoting ePlus services with clients, OEM partners, and internally across ePlus, using a consistent message and method for planning and delivery.
  • Acting as a communication bridge between client technical stakeholders and the internal engineering team.
  • Engaging internal pre-sales engineering teams to identify and map new opportunities, facilitate issue resolution, and expedite solutions, providing regular updates to Account Management and Engineering teams.
  • Serving as the primary interface and trusted advisor with Enterprise Account Executives, Customer Executives, and IT professionals, collaborating with Solution Architects to scope and price strategic solutions.
  • Planning and leading executive and technical briefings for clients and OEM partners. Co-presenting project plans and Level of Effort to clients, guiding technical resources to meet client program requirements.
  • Consolidating and conveying solution requirements and technical responses by coordinating with subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Facilitating technical scoping/reviews and assisting presales engineers and SMEs in developing Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Engaging with client operational and technical staff to assess project progress and identify new opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a field-based services management position with a minimum of 5 direct reports is preferred.
  • Experience in managing and enhancing a world-class field services organization, as well as expanding a Professional Services Consulting practice.
  • Experience in operations and project management.
  • 8 or more years of experience in designing or implementing complex networks, systems/storage solutions, and the ability to articulate deep technical knowledge of infrastructure services, data center design, and cloud integration for enterprise clients.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies: CCIE, CCDE, AWS, GCP, CCSP, CISSP, CSA, CCDP.
  • Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts and management experience in a distributed environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with presentation, customer, business, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive experience in the strategy, process, and methodology for business enablement and transformation through technology.
  • Knowledgeable and able to facilitate pre-sales discussions acting as a liaison between cross-functional teams within the client organization and ePlus.
  • Candidate will have a general understanding of design, planning, deployment, and support of the following: Network Infrastructure Solutions, Data center and Cloud, Storage, Security, Software Licensing, Managed Service support and engagement.
POSITION SPECIFICS

The base salary range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between $160,000 and $210,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

If hired, the employee will be in an at-will position, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
