Position Summary

The Department of IT Strategy, Policy & Insights collaborates closely with the Director of Infrastructure & Operations to reshape IT into a product-driven, value-oriented entity. The Technology Product Strategist will be responsible for envisioning, defining, testing, delivering, monitoring, refining, and retiring IT products to optimize business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders to create high-quality technology solutions for library users and staff.
  • Bridge the gap between business needs and product delivery teams to conceptualize and implement technology products.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to communicate the product vision and ensure alignment with customer value and business performance metrics.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify customer segments and understand their goals, aligning them with the Library's strategic objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and perform competitive assessments to gauge the landscape and user requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive perspective on the product lifecycle, balancing immediate goals with long-term objectives, including managing technical debt and enhancing system resilience.
  • Design robust testing protocols to evaluate new features and product offerings.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication with stakeholders regarding product development and emerging business needs.
  • Identify and mitigate obstacles to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Contribute to the product roadmap, outlining scope and future initiatives.
  • Enhance professional skills by collaborating with senior product management personnel to explore various methodologies and techniques.
QualificationsRequired Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in technology, business, or a related field.
