Position Overview: The GSSO Operations Excellence team is in search of a highly skilled Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt to spearhead transformative process enhancement initiatives and implement superior operational practices throughout the organization.
Role Responsibilities: As a practitioner of Lean Six Sigma methodology and a genuine catalyst for organizational change, this position will diligently work to dismantle barriers, challenge existing norms, and empower cross-functional teams to refine processes, elevate customer experiences, and foster sustainable growth.
This role will serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing data-driven insights and recommendations that guide critical decision-making and bolster the company's long-term success.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Acting as the subject matter expert on Lean Six Sigma principles, tools, and techniques.
- Leading the design, development, and execution of Lean Six Sigma projects and programs.
- Mentoring and coaching Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and Green Belts within the organization.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive Lean Six Sigma project pipeline to ensure continuous enhancements.
- Analyzing and mapping current processes to pinpoint bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Utilizing advanced data analysis and statistical tools to assess process performance and promote data-driven decision-making.
- Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of process improvements.
- Working alongside technology, data, and engineering teams to integrate technology-enabled solutions for increased efficiency.
- Aligning Lean Six Sigma initiatives with the overarching global services strategy and operational goals.
- Identifying and driving opportunities to standardize and harmonize processes across the organization's global presence.
- Developing and executing change management strategies to ensure successful implementation of operational enhancements.
- Partnering with senior leadership to craft and communicate the vision for operational excellence.
- Establishing best practices, playbooks, and knowledge-sharing platforms to scale successful initiatives.
Daily Activities:
- Engaging in significant initiatives that define the long-term data strategy and vision to meet evolving customer needs.
- Being analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, and team-oriented; driving alignment and coherent product features, business strategies, and objectives.
- Managing strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and identifying customer requirements through data, feedback, and user research.
- Overseeing multiple projects, including planning, prioritization, and task delegation, while collaborating closely with data engineers and scientists throughout product launches.

AWS Global Services (GS), established in 2022, ensures customer success throughout the cloud adoption lifecycle. With over 25,000 employees and integrated offerings, we combine technology and human expertise to maximize customer outcomes.
GS comprises four primary business units: 1) Global Services Security (GSS) provides security guidance and offerings, 2) Training & Certification (T&C) offers cloud skills training and certification, 3) Professional Services (ProServe) delivers consulting and hands-on services, and 4) Support and AWS Managed Services (Support) provides 24/7 technical support and managed services.
