Position Overview

Role Summary

B Student Living is on the lookout for a Property Maintenance Lead to enhance our dedicated team. With a legacy of excellence, we emphasize delivering outstanding service to our residents by ensuring our personnel are motivated and well-equipped. In this supervisory role, you will be tasked with managing maintenance, oversight, and administrative responsibilities concerning the property’s facilities, landscape, and systems. This position entails a hands-on approach to repairs and maintenance of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee vendor relationships and foster positive interactions to enhance property and resident satisfaction
  • Lead and mentor the maintenance staff
  • Organize service requests and guarantee prompt resolution
  • Manage the budget associated with facilities and strategize for property turnover processes
  • Assess vendor proposals and supervise work during turnover periods

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Competence in MS Office and related technology
  • Strong communication and analytical abilities
  • Capability to lead and inspire team members
  • Understanding of cleaning supplies and equipment

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary, along with a minimum of three years in maintenance roles. Experience in property management or student housing is advantageous, as is one year of hands-on experience in electrical work, painting, drywall, and plumbing.

Certifications:

  • EPA Certification, Types I and II
  • HVAC Certification
  • CPO Certification (for pool maintenance)
  • Any other necessary licenses or certifications

Work Schedule:

Standard hours are typically from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility required as necessary.

Physical Requirements:
This role may involve physical activities, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
