Position Overview
The Lead Manager of Aircraft Maintenance Operations oversees all maintenance activities at our primary base in Honolulu. This role is pivotal in managing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to guarantee the safety and reliability of our fleet. The manager fosters a culture of safety and collaborates with various departments to enhance operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all maintenance operations at the Honolulu base.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and federal regulations, including OEM and HAL approved manuals.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Operations Control (MOC) to maintain safe operations and achieve on-time performance goals.
- Collaborate with Reliability and Engineering teams to identify and address operational trends.
- Manage staffing levels and shift schedules to meet the demands of maintenance operations.
- Work with the Business Planning & Integration team to improve maintenance productivity.
- Facilitate communication between Line Maintenance and Planning teams regarding work packages and unscheduled maintenance.
- Ensure that maintenance activities align with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Guide and mentor team members, ensuring their professional development and alignment with departmental goals.
- Maintain high standards for equipment and property management.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant License.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation maintenance.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Strong analytical skills and operational acumen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in budget management.
- Valid driver's license and passport.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with B717, A321, A330, and B787 aircraft.
- Background in FAR part 121 and part 145 operations.
- College degree.
