Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Veronica Beard. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in maximizing sales, providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers, and managing the store in accordance with our company's visual and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Leadership:
    • Assume a leadership role in supervising staff in the absence of the General Manager.
    • Strive for sales excellence and results.
    • Ensure selling standards are met.
    • Work with customers and model excellent customer service and clienteling skills.
    • Maximize sales through strong floor supervision.
  • Associate Development:
    • Ensure associates are trained on product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service and operations.
    • Provide information and feedback for Sales Associates.
    • Team sell with Sales Associates to contribute to the development of the selling team.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Protect store payroll by managing wage costs, salaries, and allowable hours.
    • Control company assets, including key control, loss prevention measures, inventory paperwork, and company standards of conduct per the employee handbook.
    • Strive for 100% accuracy and compliance in cash, inventory, fixtures, and property.
  • Store Standards:
    • Help execute floor-set and promotional directives.
    • Work as a member of the team to ensure all store standards are met.
    • Understand, support, and comply with all company policies and procedures.
    • Help control all company assets, including payroll hours, fixtures, cash, inventory, and property, and complete all paperwork promptly and accurately.
  • Merchandising/Visual:
    • Ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies and directives.
    • Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized, and reflects the correct visual image at all times.
    • Ensure presentation of all displays, fixtures, and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction.
    • Identify and communicate product concerns in a timely manner.
    • Communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
    • Provide timely feedback to stores regarding visual direction in partnership with the Retail Director.
  • Fashion/Style:
    • Represent the fashion and style of Veronica Beard.
    • Knowledge of current fashion trends and styles.
    • Appreciation and demonstration of an overall finished fashion look.
    • Understanding of fashion-forward styling techniques.
    • Comfortable with being on camera for social media purposes (both stills and video).
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Adhere to company guidelines of dependability, including attendance and requirements.
    • Attend Store Meetings.
