Senior Sales Specialist for Greenhouse Solutions

Our client, a leading entity in the Hydroponics, Floriculture, and Cannabis sectors, is seeking a Senior Sales Specialist for Greenhouse Solutions. This role focuses on enhancing sales of Commercial Greenhouse Systems, Grow Systems, and Environmental Controls. The position encompasses the complete range of greenhouse offerings, including Venlo style greenhouses, along with all associated environmental systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and deliver professional sales presentations, both virtually and in person.
- Design commercial greenhouses tailored to vertical farming and environmental requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the R&D team to innovate and enhance product offerings.
- Work effectively with internal teams to generate accurate designs and estimates for materials and installation.
- Process orders for Commercial Greenhouse Systems, ensuring all necessary accessories are included.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients, trade organizations, and specialized growing groups.
- Develop and present customized presentations that address customer needs.
- Coordinate sales initiatives with team members and other departments.
- Handle initial inquiries from potential customers interested in Commercial Greenhouse Systems and related equipment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales within the Greenhouse and/or Horticulture Industry is essential.
- Demonstrated success in closing B2B sales within horticulture-related sectors.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of greenhouse operations, particularly Venlo style greenhouses.
- Ability to interpret safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Proficient in drafting routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong verbal communication skills for effective presentations to groups.
- Competence in mathematical concepts, including probability, statistics, and geometry.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations.
- Skilled in problem-solving with various concrete variables.
- Ability to interpret diverse instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
- Familiarity with order processing systems and word processing software.
- Experience with EPICOR is preferred.
Salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 plus commission.
