Job Title: Junior Data Scientist

The Data Scientist will provide support to the customer to uncover and explain actionable insights from data by combining scientific method, math and statistics, specialized programming, advanced analytics, AI, and storytelling. The role requires a strong ability to analyze business requirements and create solutions, as well as a high energy and enthusiasm to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and incorporate data from multiple tool sources.
  • Analyze data sources to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to frame and scale statistical problems to effectively analyze, visualize and find statistical solutions.
  • Transform data and analysis into informative data visualizations and/or interactive dashboards.
  • Communicate statistical results and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support capabilities briefings for military personnel.
  • Utilize industry standard tools such as Gitlab for code version control, project management, product requirements, and user documentation.

Requirements:

  • DOD Cyber Workforce (DCWF) 8140 (451) System Administrator role: A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution fulfills the educational requirement for this WRC (conferred within 5 years or able to prove continuous relevant work experience) -OR- Personnel Certifications: Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC. If none, must be willing to obtain in first 30-days.
  • Experience working with Python.
  • Experience creating meaningful data visualizations and/or interactive dashboards using platforms such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, RShiny, plotly, and d3.js.
  • Experience with data science methods related to data architecture, data munging, data and feature engineering, and predictive analytics.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Active Secret clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous DOD experience.
  • Previous experience working with supply chain or maintenance data or processes.
