Job Title: Principal Technologist - Electronic Warfare

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Technologist to join our team at Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA). As a Principal Technologist, you will play a key role in advancing our agenda and building solutions to critical problems in the Electronic Warfare (EW) domain.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in signal processing, data processing, and information systems, with a focus on EW and C5ISR applications. You will lead both solution and business development in the general domain of Electronic Warfare and related technologies, building out the ARA portfolio of technology solutions in areas such as signal processing and radar system design for EW applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and grow the business areas of signal processing and radar design for Electronic Warfare.
  • Build, train, motivate, and lead a high-performing team of scientists, engineers, and software developers to solve challenging, high-impact customer problems in the Electronic Warfare domain.
  • Participate and lead proposals, RFIs, RFPs, and aggressively lead the charge in business development.
  • Develop and deploy a growth strategy in the areas of Advanced system design, Signal and/or Data Processing, and System Integration for C5ISR and Electronic Warfare applications.
  • Lead the charge to build and execute a 5-year plan resulting in a C5ISR/EW portfolio within ARA with a revenue goal of over 100M USD/year by FY29.
Requirements:
  • A master's degree in Physics, Mathematics, and/or Engineering with a focus on signal processing, data processing, and/or information systems.
  • A minimum of 15 years' combined experience in the development of technologies and solutions relevant to C5/C4ISR and Electronic Warfare applications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of successful business development within the EW or related spaces.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and executing business strategy for DoD and/or other Government customers.
  • Demonstrable deep domain expertise in at least one of the following fields: Signal Processing, Image Processing, Radar System Design, and/or Integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Experience with building solutions leveraging AI/ML technologies.
  • Deep working knowledge of computational technologies and techniques, including but not limited to EW wargaming M&S, Computational Electromagnetics, CFD, Computational Mechanics, etc.
