Position Overview

Join CCRES as a Behavioral Support Specialist, where you can make a significant impact in the lives of children and families.

COMPENSATION:

  • $60 per hour - Behavioral Support Specialist (BC-ABA) - must possess an active BSL

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Behavioral Support Specialist (BC-ABA) operates as an independent contractor and collaborates with a multidisciplinary clinical team:

  • Opportunities available throughout the region.
  • Flexible working hours, including school hours, after-school, or evenings based on program requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans for children diagnosed with various behavioral and mental health conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD).
  • Assist in fostering adaptive skills to enable children to engage positively in educational, home, and community environments.
  • Provide behavioral consultation to families and educational institutions as needed.
  • Train Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) on effective therapeutic strategies.
  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA).
  • Manage a caseload of clients, typically authorized for 2-3 hours of service per week based on medical necessity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or a related field AND a valid Pennsylvania License in one of the following: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, Social Worker, Behavior Specialist, or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner:
    • AND a minimum of 12 credits in ABA from an accredited institution and at least one year of full-time experience in ABA.
    • OR at least one year of full-time experience in ABA under the supervision of a BCBA or equivalent certification, along with 40 hours of ABA training.

CREDENTIALS:

(Clearances must be obtained within the last 12 months)

  • PA Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
  • PA Criminal Clearance (Act 34)
  • FBI Department of Human Services background check - Service code: 1KG738
  • Current TB screening within the last three months
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • Active PA License as a Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, Social Worker, Behavior Specialist, or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
