We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Virginia Oncology Associates. As a key member of our office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Greets patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our practice.
- Checks in patients, updates demographics and insurance information, and collects co-pays and balances.
- Provides and explains paperwork for patients to complete prior to examination, and files patient forms in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicates messages to patients and clinical staff in a clear and concise manner, adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
- Performs general administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, recording patient cancellations and missed appointments, and maintaining a neat and orderly lobby area.
- Receptionist or office experience preferred, with 3 years of medical office experience and scheduling background in a busy practice strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with willingness to travel to other office locations as needed.
