Pre-Services Manager/Revenue Cycle Specialist

Job Summary:
The Regional Business Office is seeking a highly skilled Pre-Services Manager/Revenue Cycle to oversee the front office revenue cycle processes for multiple sites within our organization. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as payer guidelines, while coordinating with office managers and front office coordinators to optimize revenue cycle processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines, including ensuring that charge tickets and charge capture systems are updated.
- Provide ongoing front-office process review and implement process revisions as needed.
- Coordinate and provide training for new front office staff, and retraining as needed.
- Provide a central resource for front office processes, such as intake, insurance verification, copay collection, and charge entry.
- Conduct audits of front office processes.
- Super User of Practice Management System and interfaced systems.
- Ensure roll-out of System updates to front-office team.
- Chairs Revenue Cycle Front Office task teams.
Requirements:
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience and a minimum of five years of medical office and health plans experience.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- At least two (2) years supervisory experience successfully resolving a variety of people issues.
- At least four (4) years of medical revenue cycle experience required with a consistent track record of achieving metrics.
- Knowledge of Athena/IDX and oncology billing preferred and is a plus.
- Demonstrate knowledge of state, federal, and third party claims processing required.
- Demonstrate knowledge of state & federal collections guidelines.
- Must successfully complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.
Work Environment:
The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
