Position Overview

The Client Relations Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient-centered services, ensuring that the unique needs and preferences of each patient are met consistently. This position serves as the initial point of contact for patients, whether in person or via phone, and is pivotal in shaping their overall experience. The Specialist will undertake a variety of clerical tasks in alignment with departmental protocols. A thorough understanding of company policies and procedures is essential for maintaining accurate patient records, preparing necessary documentation, verifying details, and addressing routine administrative challenges.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Upholding clinical and clerical standards in accordance with the Company Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Adhering to established scripts during patient interactions.
  • Handling incoming calls with professionalism, exercising discretion to prioritize inquiries, and directing calls to the appropriate staff efficiently.
  • Welcoming patients warmly, collecting insurance information, and guiding them through the verification process.
  • Inputting patient admission details into the system and scheduling appointments accordingly.
  • Processing payments and executing necessary accounting tasks in line with departmental standards.
  • Managing daily ledger reconciliations and preparing bank deposits.
  • Executing additional tasks as assigned by management and administrative personnel.
  • Engaging in quality improvement initiatives, participating in educational programs, attending departmental meetings, and maintaining competency as per company guidelines.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Language Proficiency
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents or regulations. Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from various stakeholders.

Problem-Solving Skills
Ability to address practical issues and navigate diverse situations with limited standardization. Competence in interpreting various forms of instructions.

Technical Skills
Proficiency in EMR systems, DocuTap, Excel, and MS Word is required.

Physical Requirements
