Maryhurst is dedicated to providing comprehensive treatment programs for children who have experienced severe trauma, often stemming from abuse. Our mission is to support these children as they navigate their challenges, which may include risk-taking behaviors due to their past experiences. Many of the children in our care have faced numerous placements in foster care and hospital settings, making our commitment to consistency and care even more vital. We currently offer nine specialized programs that cater to the diverse needs of over 600 children and their families.


We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to manage the financial transactions related to our vendors and staff. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including the review and processing of invoices, preparation of payments, and tracking of expense reports, among other assigned tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete accounts payable process:
    • Verify and validate invoices
    • Secure necessary approvals
    • Assign appropriate department/program general ledger codes
    • Execute check and/or ACH payments
  • Provide general accounting assistance, including reconciling relevant GL accounts
  • Support financial statement analysis
  • Engage in annual audit and budgeting activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Relevant full-time experience in a similar position
  • Familiarity with accounting software, preferably Sage Intacct
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical approach
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
