Job Summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and provide exceptional dining experiences for our residents. As a key member of our community team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure excellent food preparation and presentation.
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
    • Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to maintain efficiency and quality.
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to their dietary needs and preferences.
    • Work closely with the community team to ensure seamless service and high resident satisfaction.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage kitchen budgets, including food, supplies, and labor costs.
    • Monitor and control expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Team Development
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
    • Encourage a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes collaboration and open communication.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary arts degree or certification preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in culinary leadership, with a proven track record of success.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
    • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
