About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchant Analytics Manager to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a key member of our Enterprise Analytics Team, you will play a critical role in driving revenue and profit growth across our businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize the 4 Ps (product, placement, price, promotion) across categories.
  • Drive continuous profit improvements by analyzing performance, member insights, competitive benchmarking, and market trends.
  • Leverage business requirements, market intelligence, consumer insights, and historical information to develop innovative category strategies.
  • Use disparate internal and 3rd party data sources to bring robust category insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Perform ad hoc category-specific analyses to support decisions and influence management.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of retail merchandising, category management, and merchandising processes.
  • Excellent financial and analytical acumen to make strategic recommendations.
  • Strong background in strategic problem-solving with demonstrable analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex analyses to non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and put existing ones to good use.
