Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Analyst to join our Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, and actionable insights to key customers, including the merchant team and SS&P.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of commodity market trends, including price, supply, and demand.
  • Develop and execute complex tools, models, and processes to forecast and describe price, supply, and demand.
  • Review and scrub historical pricing data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Partner with other team members to deliver analysis that maximizes our competitive advantage.
  • Develop and coordinate initiatives related to technology and data to predict commodity fluctuations better.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Required. 5+ years of experience in commodity analysis, strategic sourcing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of commodity futures markets and forward curves.
  • Strong data analysis, logic, and curiosity skills.
Work Environment

This role has excellent exposure with daily opportunities to meet with team members across Merchandising, Analytics, and Direct and Indirect Strategic Procurement. The work environment is team-oriented, service-centric, fast-paced, accuracy-critical, and ever-changing.

We offer a competitive salary range starting from $74,500.00 and a comprehensive benefits package, including weekly pay, free BJ's Inner Circle and Supplemental membership(s), and generous time off programs.
