At The Wright Center Medical Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team. As a Collections Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and verify insurance coverage for patients, escalating issues to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor as needed.
  • Review daily billing summaries to identify and track errors, providing training to front-desk staff as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities, including correspondence and payment details.
  • Take ownership of assigned accounts, responding to inquiries and taking action to encourage timely payments.
  • Develop and implement effective repayment plans, monitoring progress and reporting on collection activity.
  • Prepare pre-collection letters, adjust bad debt accounts, and refer delinquent accounts to outside agencies as necessary.
  • Process monthly collection payments, prepare bad debt reports, and update patient information as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in collections or accounts receivable.
  • Knowledge of credit and collection processes, as well as Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
