Job Title: Principal Electrical Engineer

Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Avionics team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting manufacturing and service test solutions for Collins Aerospace products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support manufacturing and service test solutions for Collins Aerospace products
  • Participate in the entire development lifecycle, from design to delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Develop strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Design, analyze, test, integrate, and document hardware of moderate to high complexity
  • Integrate and troubleshoot HW & SW solutions
  • Support automated test software development
  • Prepare and present project/technical information to peers, internal management, and customers
Requirements:
  • Must be able to read electronic schematics
  • Prior experience working on RF (Radio Frequency) devices
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in Test Engineering
  • Experience with software repositories, such as Subversion
  • Demonstrated experience using a test automation framework such as NI Test Stand
  • Software development experience/proficiency – LabView and/or C# is a plus
  • Have domain knowledge of avionics products
  • Have good communication, documentation, and collaboration/teamwork skills
