Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) solutions for our customers. Your expertise in E3 engineering, including electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI), will be critical in ensuring the success of our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement E3 design guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with government and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop E3 solutions for our customers.
• Conduct E3 testing and analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including E3 design guidelines, test procedures, and technical reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience in engineering; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of experience in engineering; OR PhD in a STEM discipline.
• Must have a DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain an interim Top Secret prior to starting, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
• Experience with MIL-STD-464 or MIL-STD-461.
• 2 years of experience in RF, Test or design engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialty in Electromagnetics, RF, or analog circuitry.
• Experience with defense and aerospace industry practices, and programmatic skills supporting BOE, RFP, ROM, CAM, WBS, Risk assessments for E3 compliance.
• Ideal candidates can show extensive design experience with EMI filters, circuit layout and analysis for E3, shielding, lightning protection, cable and harnessing design.
• Candidates with working knowledge and experience in modeling and simulation of E3 using commercially available software is a plus.

• Competitive salary range: $92,600 - $139,000.
