Position Overview:

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Graduate Teaching Assistant within the Department of Systems Engineering. This position is designed to support the educational mission of the university by assisting in the teaching of undergraduate courses in the Mechanical Engineering program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in grading assignments and examinations for undergraduate courses.
  • Provide teaching support for laboratory sessions, ensuring a productive learning environment.
  • Contribute to engineering design and fabrication efforts to enhance program facilities.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Admission to a graduate degree program or maintaining good standing in the Graduate School.
  • Availability to fulfill the required hours (20 hours per week for full-time or 10 hours per week for part-time).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in software tools such as Solidworks, Ansys, Ansys Fluent, and Python.

Compensation:

The position offers a stipend of $625 per month.
