The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is actively seeking a dedicated Graduate Research Assistant for the Biology Department. This role is integral to supporting faculty-led research initiatives while also allowing the assistant to focus on their academic and research pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist faculty members with various research tasks related to designated projects.
- Participate in data collection and conduct independent research pertinent to the assigned project.
- Engage in development activities for the project, which may include training and statistical analysis.
- Oversee project meetings and facilitate discussions among team members.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and publications as required.
- Support other specialized administrative and technical duties related to the research project.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Admission to a graduate degree program at UA Little Rock or maintaining good standing with the Graduate School.
- Ability to commit to the required hours, with regular attendance (20 hours per week for full-time or 10 hours per week for part-time).
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent planning and coordination abilities.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication.
- Familiarity with personal computers and relevant software applications.
Compensation: Monthly salary of $888.88.
