Position Overview:
The role of Speech Language Pathology Aide involves assisting in the delivery of speech therapy to a diverse range of patients under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Executing the speech therapy treatment plan as directed by the supervising SLP
  • Facilitating clear communication with families, SLPs, and team members
  • Participating in IEP meetings as required and managing administrative and scheduling tasks
  • Documenting student progress, conducting screenings, and evaluating assessments
  • Creating engaging activities and materials to meet student objectives
  • Delivering therapy through various service delivery models
  • Employing interpersonal communication skills to achieve positive outcomes
  • Exhibiting dedication, professional development, and proficiency
  • Advocating for the agency's philosophy of quality care
Qualifications:
Experience in pediatric or school-based environments is preferred. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, problem-solving capabilities, effective time management, and the ability to maintain confidentiality, along with a solid understanding of therapy techniques and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Certification:
A Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution is mandatory. A valid state license for Speech Therapy practice is also required.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
The position may require standing, walking, bending, lifting, and manual dexterity. Candidates must meet vaccination standards, demonstrate eye-hand coordination, and be capable of operating standard equipment.

Work Environment:
Access to a personal computer with teleconferencing capabilities is essential.
