Position Overview:

The role of the Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist encompasses delivering therapeutic interventions aimed at rehabilitating individuals with speech, language, auditory, oral motor, swallowing, and cognitive challenges. The professional will be responsible for the planning, execution, and assessment of patient care to enhance overall well-being while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct clinical evaluations
  • Document and finalize the Plan of Care
  • Implement prescribed therapeutic interventions
  • Coordinate patient care activities in compliance with infection control protocols
  • Educate patients and their families regarding communication challenges and facilitation strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments and progress
  • Collaborate effectively within the multidisciplinary team
  • Fulfill continuing education obligations
  • Exhibit commitment and proficiency in practice
  • Comply with organizational policies
Qualifications:

Preferred experience in pediatrics and/or school-based settings. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, capacity to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and manage stress while upholding confidentiality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Education/Certification Requirements:

A Master's degree or higher in Communication Sciences and Disorders, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, and a current State License to practice Speech Therapy are mandatory.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

Ability to meet vaccination standards, perform physical tasks, and demonstrate manual dexterity. Adequate eye-hand coordination is necessary.

Work Environment:

Access to a personal computer equipped with teleconferencing capabilities is required.
