About the Role

Care Options for Kids is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in Arizona. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing coordinated speech therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer speech therapy treatment plans as developed by the supervising SLP
  • Communicate effectively with families, SLPs, and staff using strong communication skills
  • Attend IEP meetings when appropriate and perform clerical and scheduling duties
  • Document students' performance, including skill targeted and type/amount of support provided, and administer and score screenings for interpretation by the SLP
  • Develop and implement activities and materials for teaching and practice of skills to address the goals of the student, per the plan developed by the supervising SLP
  • Provide treatment through various service delivery models, including teletherapy, in-person therapy, individual, and group therapy
  • Use effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to facilitate desirable outcomes
  • Promote agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care
Requirements
  • Pediatric focus and/or school-based experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information
  • Knowledge of therapy skills as defined by generally accepted standards of practice
  • Excellent communication - verbal and written, and interpersonal skills
  • Responsive to requests
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance
Education and Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Current Active State License to practice Speech Therapy in the state you are looking to work within
