Care Options for Kids is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in Arizona. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing coordinated speech therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
Key Responsibilities- Administer speech therapy treatment plans as developed by the supervising SLP
- Communicate effectively with families, SLPs, and staff using strong communication skills
- Attend IEP meetings and perform clerical and scheduling duties as needed
- Document students' performance, including skill targeted and type/amount of support provided
- Develop and implement activities and materials for teaching and practice of skills to address the goals of the student
- Provide treatment through various service delivery models, including teletherapy, in-person therapy, individual, and group therapy
- Use effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to facilitate desirable outcomes
- Promote Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care
- Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality of data and information
- Knowledge of therapy skills as defined by generally accepted standards of practice
- Excellent communication - verbal and written, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution of higher education
- Current Active State License to practice Speech Therapy in the state you are looking to work within
- Must own a personal computer with teleconferencing capabilities
