Business Development Manager

Vine Line Produce is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for growing our retail grocery segment and building a platform that sells to independent retail grocers and distributor networks throughout our geographic territory.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing strategic business plans to penetrate specific retail grocery accounts. They will be a strong leader, able to think outside the box and drive results through analytical skills, strategic planning, negotiation skills, and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities will include soliciting, evaluating, and advocating for customer product and feature requests to improve offerings and service on existing and prospect accounts. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively in a professional manner through in-person conversation, phone calls, email, virtual meetings, and instant messaging.

This is a remote role with required 80% travel between company/customer sites in the surrounding areas of Michigan. The successful candidate will be able to work closely with others in a team environment and independently.

Competencies, Education, and Skills:

  • Valid identification or driver's license (if appropriate)
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of Retail Grocery Channel experience
  • At least 1 year of Customer-Team experience
  • Experience Conceptual Selling
  • Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and common E Mail systems

Compensation Structure:

Base salary + Commission + Bonus
