Position Overview:
The Operations Tasking Coordinator plays a vital role within the Operations and Tasking Division, specifically in the G33 Current Operations sector of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command.

This position requires a deep understanding of the operational frameworks, organizational structures, and functional missions that connect various entities, including the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA), Combatant Commands, and their subordinate units, to effectively manage TRADOC tasking functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather mission requirements from a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including the Department of the Army, executive agents, and major commands.
  • Develop and process task requirements, ensuring accurate data entry and conducting quality assurance on submissions directed to HQDA for resource allocation.
  • Utilize current knowledge of staff missions and project needs to coordinate complex and sensitive actions, establishing communication with counterpart tasking leads and their supervisors to facilitate timely information exchange.

Qualifications and Employment Conditions:

Relevant experience encompasses both paid and unpaid roles, including volunteer work through recognized service programs. Specialized Experience:

A minimum of one year of specialized experience is required, which includes conducting detailed analyses of task requirements from diverse sources, developing and implementing policies and procedures to support operational needs, and utilizing various office automation tools for effective office management and communication.

This specialized experience is typically associated with roles at the GS-11 level in federal service.


Competency Evaluation:

Candidates will be assessed on their proficiency in the following areas:

  • Planning and Evaluating

Additional Information:

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required, and a one-year trial or probationary period may be necessary. Direct deposit of pay is mandatory. Selection is subject to restrictions based on the Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

This position is part of the Training, Capability, and Doctrine Warfighting Developers Career Field, and multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary will include applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.

This is an obligated position, meaning the employee has statutory restoration rights based on previous overseas service.
