Job Summary

This position serves as the Chief of Staff for Joint Task Force-Civil Support, a subordinate command to the United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the activities of the Command.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
  • Represent Joint Task Force-Civil Support with a variety of commands and functional area organizations.
  • Information System Authorizing Official.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmental Information clearance.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 (or higher) grade level or equivalent. Examples of specialized experience include knowledge of national policies, objectives, doctrine, and strategy involving USNORTHCOM and Joint Operations and Joint Force Land Component Commander (JFLCC) including the management of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) incidents.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of national policies, objectives, doctrine, and strategy involving USNORTHCOM and Joint Operations and Joint Force Land Component Commander (JFLCC) including the management of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) incidents.
  • Knowledge of the various CBRN and all-hazards DSCA support functions, operations, policies, procedures, practices and the roles and responsibilities of the supporting agencies in both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
