Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Finance Manager to join our EC2 Capacity and CapEx team at Amazon Web Services. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving broad insights that shape our financial strategy and improve free cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial insights and narratives during all planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
  • Manage and develop the financial planning and analysis processes, including long-range planning, and OP1/OP2 planning processes.
  • Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
  • Support ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from finance executives.
  • Raise the bar on hiring, developing, and retaining the best talent to continue building our world-class team of finance professionals.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • 10+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with a wide breadth of stakeholders, users, engineers, and leaders to generate buy-in.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Preferred qualifications include MBA, CPA, experience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting, and operational processes, and experience building and leading in a complex finance team through a mixed finance skill set.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
