About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer II on the EC2 Capacity Reservations team at Amazon, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features and services that help our customers reduce their costs and improve their overall experiences using EC2. We work closely together on small teams to solve big problems, and we are looking for technical leaders who can help us build and grow our team. If you have a software engineering background, with a working knowledge of large-scale systems, and experience engaging with customers to understand their needs, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement new features and services that help our customers reduce their costs and improve their overall experiences using EC2
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements
- Work closely with senior members to learn and grow as an engineer

Requirements

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
