The Heating and Air Conditioning Technician II plays a crucial role in the assessment, upkeep, and repair of diverse heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and associated systems. This role does not entail any supervisory responsibilities.

  • Proficient in the operation of hot water and steam systems.
  • Familiarity with air atomizing and rotary burners.
  • Understanding of absorption, centrifugal, and reciprocating chillers.
  • Expertise in pneumatic temperature control mechanisms.
  • Awareness of safety protocols related to the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems.
  • Capability to repair, service, and calibrate various heating, ventilation, and air conditioning apparatus.
  • Adept at diagnosing and resolving common issues within HVAC systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Physical capacity to lift heavy items.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of three years of experience in the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems. Additional experience in equipment maintenance may substitute for educational requirements. Completion of relevant coursework or an accredited apprenticeship may also be considered.

Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license and EPA certification upon employment. Successful candidates will be placed on the eligibility list for a minimum of six months following the evaluation process.
