Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant (Audit) to join our clients growing team at General Employment. As an Senior Accountant (Audit), you will play a critical role in leading financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations across a diverse range of client industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in various industries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Perform and document audit procedures over complex accounting areas, including financial statement analysis and risk assessment.
  • Proactively interact with clients' key management to gather information, resolve issues, and offer recommendations for process and business improvements, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Keep managers and shareholders informed of engagement-related developments, providing timely and accurate updates.
  • Research and analyze complex accounting and audit-related matters, staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes.
  • Leverage data extraction, data analytics, and data visualization tools to provide valuable insights to clients, informing business decisions and driving strategic growth.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff and interns on audit processes and best practices, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in public accounting, with a proven track record of success in audit and compliance.
  • CPA license eligibility required, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in data extraction, analytics, and visualization presentation, with a strong ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and training skills, with a ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
