We are seeking a highly skilled Contracting Specialist I to join our team at Chenega Corporation. As a key member of our contracting team, you will be responsible for supporting the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (AFRCO) and other government agencies in planning and managing acquisitions for various products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide cradle-to-grave contract support, including conducting market research, preparing solicitation documentation, reviewing proposals for compliance, and performing cost/price evaluations.
- Work with the Contracting Officer in developing acquisition strategies, including determining contract method/type, and performing contract administration.
- Assist in communicating project status and issues, and develop acquisition and policy recommendations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (BA/BS) degree.
- Relevant DoD/IC or industry work experience with 1+ years of experience in an SAP and/or SCI environment within the past 5 years.
- Active and valid driver's license.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Ability to complete a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph.
- Knowledge of contracting for a variety of products and services for major systems, research, and development (R&D), and/or complex programs using a wide range of contracting methodologies.
- Knowledge of FAR Part 13 simplified acquisition procedures and broad knowledge of market sources.
- Ability to work under aggressive schedules with demanding performance requirements.
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
