Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join our team at the Defense Intelligence Agency. As a Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for executing total responsibility for all assigned contracts, serving as a trusted business advisor to customer leadership, and providing advice and guidance to peer and junior contracting personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute total responsibility for all assigned contracts.
  • Serve as a trusted business advisor to customer leadership.
  • Provide advice and guidance to peer and junior contracting personnel.
  • Develop tailored procurement support.
  • Guide and shape procurement strategies and contract execution.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Drug Test.
  • Security Investigation.
Qualifications
  • Constructively questions conventional approaches.
  • Supports an environment that encourages new ideas.
  • Currently possesses or previously held a Contracting Officer's Warrant above the simplified acquisition threshold.
  • Demonstrates experience leading a complex source selection.
  • Experience with multiple contract types.
Additional Information

This position is considered an Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). The position's occupant must be certified with the appropriate DAWIA certification based on mission requirements for the position.

This position requires DAWIA Contracting Professional Certification.
