Lecturer and Director of Nonprofit Management and Leadership
Job Summary:The School of Social Work at the University of Georgia invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer position to serve as the Director of our Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management and Leadership (MA NML) program. This is a fiscal year (12-month) position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the MA NML program at the School.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the MA NML program, ensuring its contribution to the mission and goals of the program, the School of Social Work, and the University of Georgia.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the program, refining and updating its curriculum as needed.
- Oversee a certificate program and develop and manage continuing education opportunities.
- Teach a range of MA NML and MSW classes across curricula.
- Engage in scholarship and university, school, and community service.
Applicants must have a terminal degree (MSW or PhD in social work or allied profession) and at least two years of post-master's leadership experience. Competitive candidates will have a background that includes student-centered pedagogy, engaged learning, distance teaching, and course development.
