About the Role

The Market Controller is a key member of the Asbury Automotive Group team, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our Colorado Market. This role requires a strong financial background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Oversee the accounting and financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
  • Conduct regular reviews of operating reports and identify areas for improvement.
  • Process insurance claims and liability insurance, and review financial statements and ledgers to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare all taxes and filing forms with the government, and support financial and operational audits.
  • Meet with department managers regularly to discuss business matters and develop plans to increase profitability.
  • Drive best practices and continuous improvement to maximize store performance and achieve a clean balance sheet.
  • Ensure dealership managers comply with Asbury policies and procedures, and report any deviations to the Regional Controller.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring accounting personnel and dealership managers on policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Strong financial background and experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with additional accounting software programs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
