**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Lifeguard to join our team at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa's Wild Bear Falls Water Park. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and supervision of all guests attending the water park, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Guest Safety: Maintain constant surveillance and monitoring of guests for the assigned pool or water park area.
- Respond to Emergencies: Render emergency care and contact emergency medical services as necessary.
- Maintain Facility Cleanliness: Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, including the pool and surrounding areas.
- Prepare Activity Reports: Prepare and maintain activity reports, including any incidents or near-miss events.
- Attend Training and Meetings: Attend scheduled in-service training and follow all established safety procedures.
- Assist Team Members: Assist team members with other duties as required.
Requirements:
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification: Must be American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certified.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak effectively with guests and other team members.
- Ability to Recognize Hazards: Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Background Check and Drug Test: Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
