Water Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Lifeguard to join our team at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our guests by preventing and responding to emergencies in our pool and water park areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain constant surveillance and monitoring of guests in the assigned pool or water park area
• Renders emergency care and contacts emergency medical services as necessary
• Assists with maintaining the cleanliness of the facility
• Prepares and maintains activity reports
• Attends scheduled in-service training and follows all established safety procedures
• Assists team members with other duties as required

Requirements:

• American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak effectively with guests and other team members
• Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
